Christmas is over and I now feel I can exhale. It’s as if the anticipation had me holding my breath. Maybe you felt this way for different reasons. Maybe you struggled with finding the “perfect” gift. Perhaps you felt financial stress while decking the halls. Maybe you were like me and struggled with the loss of a loved one. While everyone else was fa-la-la-la-la-Ing you were just trying to keep it all together.
Let’s celebrate that we made it thorough relatively unscathed. I give myself kudos for only having two “meltdowns “ on Christmas Day. I pushed myself to go join some friends and actually had a very good time. I got through. Even if you did not give or receive all the gifts you desired, it’s okay. Christmas may not have looked like you imagined but it was your rendition of your “most wonderful time of the year”. Take a deep breath and let’s start looking forward to a new and wonderful 2023!
Christmas – a time to celebrate. Your emphasis on “taking a breath” was exactly what we all need to do for every season in our life. Great encouragement.
